PINK & TEAL COMMUNITY SHABBAT
For several years, the Jewish Federation, Temple of Israel, and Congregation Beth Israel have come together for an annual joint Shabbat dedicated to raising awareness of hereditary and gynecologic cancers. These cancers are traditionally symbolized by Pink and Teal ribbons.
This year’s Pink & Teal Shabbat will feature guest speaker Dr. Jeff Edenfield, hematology/oncology physician and Executive Medical Director of Oncology for the Prisma Health Cancer Institute in Greenville. Dr. Edenfield also serves as Medical Director for the Institute for Translational Oncology Research, overseeing early-phase clinical trials for new cancer treatments and the biorepository services at Prisma Health.
We invite you to join the community in welcoming Dr. Edenfield, marking this meaningful Shabbat together, and sharing in a special Oneg following services. Temple of Israel is hosting this year with a joint service led by Rabbi Rose (Temple of Israel) and Rabbi Cohen (Congregation Beth Israel).
